Rob Elliott is the General Manager for FC DELCO, overseeing all business and soccer operations for the club.

Prior to joining FC DELCO, Elliott was the Technical Advisor (Atlantic Region) of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Elliott liaised with U.S. Soccer and clubs, players and coaches in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania area helping to share U.S. Soccer’s philosophy, as well as empower clubs to ramp up their own development efforts. Elliott also provided player-specific information and scouting reports to the Director of Talent Identification and to Youth National Team staff members.

Before he came on board with U.S. Soccer, Elliott worked with the New York Red Bulls for nearly a decade, first as a scout and then as Director of Scouting, where he identified players for the first team, as well as the USL, PDL, and Academy programs. He was also a very successful coach as well, leading the Red Bulls U23 team to a 2017 Premier Development League title. The PDL is the top amateur league in the country. Elliott is a 3-time recipient of the U.S. Development Academy Coach of the Year (2017, 2012, 2009). Under Elliott’s leadership, his U16 team won the USSDA Championship in 2016, and in 2009, Elliott helped guide the U20 Red Bulls Academy to its first-ever U20 Super Y National Championship. That same season, the U20s went undefeated in the regular season, posting a 9-0-1 record, which enabled them to claim first place in the Mid-Atlantic Division.

Prior to the Red Bulls, Elliott was the assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University. In four years, Elliott helped VCU reach the NCAA Quarterfinal, and a final NSCAA National Ranking of seven. Under Elliott, five VCU players were named All-American. Elliott coached for six seasons at his alma mater, Cornell University. A 1997 graduate of Cornell, Elliott was named to the 1996 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Umbro Division 1 Men's All-America Second Team. He was named First-Team All-New York State twice, and set a school record of 18 assists. During Elliott’s time at Cornell, his team won the Ivy League Championship in 1995, and made two appearances in the NCAA tournament.
